This is Our story



early 1987 …

a young couple, Zoe and Giannis Bourtsikas, took a decision to start a small tavern. Choose a small place and start selling simple home made food, beer, refreshments, home made wine and ouzo. This place the Greeks prefer to call as “taverna”. Because of selling ouzo greeks prefer “ouzeri”.

Zoe and Giannis preferred to call it “Good well” (kalo pigadi).

The name token from the old area, good well call because at the old times, locale people take the water from the wells and it called Good well.

For the young couple their new begining in life was very difficult.

Despite the huge difficulties and the hard work the young couple did not give up and continued to work on their small place.

They always thought that by working hard and taking care of their small taverna they could do it.

And they were right… as a reward the reputation of their place was growing fast and more and more locals were visiting .

Tourists likes so much the greek food, that coming again and again every year.

The taverna is now run by the present generation of the Bourtsikas family.

One son, Nikos, Zoe and Giannis. Keeping the original family greek food exactly as it was.
